Department of Acute and Continuing Care
The Department of Acute and Continuing Care is comprised of three (3) divisions and houses master’s level programs in the following clinical concentrations: Adult Health, Family Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nursing, and Nursing Anesthesia. Post-Master’s degrees are offered in all of the above concentrations, with the exception of Nursing Anesthesia, as well as in Oncology. Faculty members of the department teach core courses in all program areas offered by the school: Bachelor of Science in Nursing,
Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and Post-Master’s Program.

Adult and Family Health
The Adult and Family Health division is focused on advancing research, education, and practice in the areas of adult and family health care. The division prepares students to provide a full range of health care services across the health care continuum to individuals of all ages.

Emergency, Acute, and Critical Care
The Emergency, Acute, and Critical Care division is engaged in teaching and research related to emergency, acute, and critical care. The division prepares students to provide and manage health care for acutely, critically, or chronically ill patients in a wide variety of settings.
Emergency, Acute, and Critical Care Faculty Nurse Anesthesia
The Nurse Anesthesia division prepares graduate students to provide quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical and other medical interventions that require anesthesia.
