Reserve a Classroom

Internal Reservation Procedures

Faculty and staff can reserve a classroom for academic, business or university-related events by sending an email request to sonrooms@uth.tmc.edu. Please include in the email:

  • The name and contact information of the person requesting the room or the main contact person if different from the person requesting the room.
  • Date the room is needed
  • Time the room is needed
  • Frequency of reservation, if applicable, (e.g. every Tuesday through December 5)
  • Purpose of the event
  • Anticipated audience size
  • Specific classroom technology needs, (e.g. guest speaker might need assistance, conference call to New York)

An email response will be sent indicating whether your request could be met or not and whether additional information is needed. If we are able to fulfill your request, the confirmation will specify room, date, and time as well as specific technology needs addressed.

External Reservation Procedures

The School of Nursing occasionally provides classrooms or the Alkek Auditorium for events not associated with the School of Nursing. For non-faculty or staff related requests, a requestor must have a School of Nursing sponsor. Once a sponsor is determined, an email needs to be sent to sonrooms@uth.tmc.edu. Please include in the email:

  • Name of outside organization
  • Purpose of event
  • Name of School of Nursing sponsor
  • Email and phone number of sponsor
  • Date of event
  • Time of event
  • Number of guest anticipated
  • Specific classroom technology needs

All external requests are submitted to the Dean of the School of Nursing for evaluation and approval. A fee is charged for external requests to cover security, facility and technology expenses and is dependent upon the event and the needs of the event.
