
Elder Care Innovations:
Houston’s Aging Agenda

We will focus on Houston's Aging Agenda and discuss the City's role in the implementation and support of the elderly. Besides formal presentations and scheduled discussions, the participants will have the opportunity to visit with a variety of representatives from the healthcare industry to learn about products on the market and aging-related services available in the community.
Objectives:
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the process of the development and evaluation of innovative programs for elders.
- Learn about Houston's Aging Agenda.
- Describe progress in advancing 3 domains of the Aging Agenda, specifically, mobility and transportation; civic engagement, volunteerism and employment; and access to quality care.
