New Accelerated Ph.D. Program Offers Faster Degree, Stipends for Fall 2010 Students
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Nursing is planning to offer a very special opportunity for a small group of doctoral students to study full time in an Accelerated Ph.D. program that can be completed in just three years. The program, which includes stipends for living expenses, starts in fall 2010.
Imagine being immersed in the academic world, studying with one of the nation’s best nursing faculties and fellow students who do not have to rush off to a job after class. Selected applicants will be designated as named Scholars. You could receive $60,000 per year, plus any other support for which you might qualify. This is a distinction you will carry throughout your professional career.
After graduation, you may be able to join the faculty of the UT School of Nursing at Houston, which is ranked in the top five percent of U.S. nursing schools, where you will spend at least three challenging years “paying back” this incredible opportunity. Salaries at our school are competitive with academic institutions and can be supplemented with practice or research grant incentives.
