Research Associate (pdf)
Periodic, contiguous 12-hr shifts Work with an experienced Nurse Researcher to test efficacy and safety of a nursing intervention in a high-risk patient population. This research will take place at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital and The Methodist Hospital.
Student Research Assistant (pdf)
The position is for casual work through approximately December 2008. We need a commitment of at least 20 hours/week to ensure that the training skills are retained. Requires flexibility: for example, one 12-hour shift on the weekend and two 4-hour shifts during the week would meet the 20-hour/week commitment. When patients are enrolled, we need to provide 24/7 coverage until mechanical ventilation is discontinued.
PreClinical Critical Care Lab Director (pdf)
Provides oversight and day to day management of the Pre-Clinical Critical Care Laboratory (PCCL) and laboratory projects and provides technical direction for research projects of considerable scope and complexity. Works with scientists and their staff to define and implement veterinary resource support for projects using the PCCL. Manages, develops and trains veterinary support staff. Ensures the humane and proper care and use of laboratory animals.
